Spring is quickly vying for the top spot of our favorite season in the Blue Ridge mountains. This spring has been quite beautiful and full of new little beings. More on our new baby Lotus below. This year, the season feels particularly meaningful, as it marks 5 years of our stewarding Firecreek. Five years ago we drove up a gravel road in western North Carolina, stood on 65 acres of sacred land, and said yes before we fully understood what we were saying yes to. No master plan. No guarantee. Just a deep knowing that we needed to make the leap before we talked ourselves out of it. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made. It was also one of the hardest things we've ever done. Both are equally true.

Our 2026 retreat schedule is nearly full, a couple summer and fall options outlined below. All of our retreats are nature-based with a focus on well-being. These can include somatic and healing practices, leadership, women’s and men’s work, learning an art or refining a craft, growing food, and culinary-focused retreats. What unites them all is the experience of coming home to yourself by slowing down, cultivating a sense of well-being, and carrying that energy out into the world. If you are having financial challenges, we will work with you to ensure you are able to join a retreat here.

Lotus ArrivesWe have our first baby goat born on site here. Lotus. She’s a Nigerian Dwarf and has added a tremendous amount of joy and cuteness to the barn and farm. We bought our first goats including Lily, Lotus’ mom, as a kid back in 2022, which makes this first even more special.
