Camp Retreat is a thoughtfully curated mountain yoga retreat set in the serene landscapes of North Carolina this August; an immersive experience designed to help you reset, move, and fully recharge. Nestled in nature, far from the noise of everyday life, this retreat offers a balance of energizing movement, deep restoration, and meaningful connection.

Each day is intentionally structured to support both body and mind. Mornings may begin with invigorating power yoga to awaken your energy or Pilates sessions that build strength and stability. Slower, restorative practices are woven throughout the schedule, giving you space to stretch, release tension, and reconnect inward. Whether you're looking to challenge yourself physically or simply move in a way that feels good, there’s something for every pace and level.

Beyond the mat, the experience opens up into the outdoors. You’ll have opportunities to explore scenic hiking trails, participate in playful, field day-style group activities, and try unique hands-on experiences like glass blowing. For those craving something a bit more adventurous or memorable, optional activities such as horseback riding and falconry add a distinctive and unforgettable touch to the retreat.

The overall atmosphere channels nostalgic summer camp energy, but reimagined for adults seeking wellness, balance, and joy. It’s relaxed, a little playful, and deeply grounding all at once. Evenings are intentionally slower and more reflective: think gentle restorative yoga sessions, gathering around bonfires under the stars, sharing s’mores, and enjoying unstructured time to unwind, journal, or simply be still.

Partial Refund: Guests who cancel their reservation between 89 and 60 days prior to the scheduled event date will receive a 50% refund of payments made. No Refund: Cancellations made 59 days or fewer prior to the scheduled event date are not eligible for any refund. Meet Courtney McDonald …

Courtney’s fitness journey has been dynamic – beginning from her earliest days and continuing through her involvement in various sports. She grew up attending her mother’s classes, which ranged from aerobics and weight lifting to yoga.

In 2014, shortly after relocating to Miami from Orlando, Courtney traveled to Lima, Peru, her father’s hometown, to immerse herself in a month-long 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. This training encompassed all aspects of vinyasa, from flow and power to restorative and prenatal yoga. Soon after, she discovered Pilates, which introduced a new level of challenge. By 2023, Courtney became certified in reformer Pilates, and in 2024, she completed a classical mat Pilates training.

Meet Marissa Lew…

Marissa Lew is a vinyasa based 500hr Yoga teacher, yoga therapist and pilates instructor. She began teaching because of her love of movement and the way it directly correlates with mental health. Having a degree in psychology and specializing in yoga therapy, Marissa’s classes are designed to be safe spaces to move your body through poses that not only are a workout but also a work in.

Marissa is also pilates certified and her pilates classes are a mix between classic and contemporary and each class is designed to leave you feeling lighter and stronger both physically and mentally.

Welcome to Firecreek

We purchased the property in 2021, in an effort to both heal ourselves, and as small offering to help heal the planet. Aside from our small family unit enjoying the magical land here, our aim is to share it with others, by way of hosting retreats, workshops, and short term rentals. Retreats include yoga and meditation, leadership, art, photography and nature immersion, fly fishing and hiking, as well culinary, foraging, and regenerative agriculture.
